Project Scope –

The project involved demolishing an existing lean-to utility space and designing a new rear extension, allowing for an internal remodel to accommodate a new ground floor shower room and utility area, whilst allow further enhancing the kitchen and dining areas.

Overview –

Located within a conservation area, this project required a sensitive approach to design and planning. The client, having lived in the property for several years, sought to remodel the rear of the home to accommodate a new ground floor shower room and utility, while also improving the kitchen and dining areas.

We replaced an outdated lean-to with a modest rear extension, carefully designed to maximise natural light and integrate seamlessly with the existing layout. Consideration was given to how the client used the space daily, ensuring the new rooms enhanced functionality without disrupting flow.

Careful planning also ensured the new services could be connected efficiently, and we guided the client through this design process to deliver a result that is both practical and respectful of its historic setting.
